TOURNAMENT PLAY: DISPUTES AND DECISIONS

Rule 1-4: If any point in dispute is not covered by

the Rules, the decision should be made

in accordance with equity.

Match play: If a doubt or dispute arises between

players in match play, the provisions of

Rules 2-5 and 34-1a shall apply.

Stroke play: Any dispute or doubtful point on the Rules

must, pursuant to Rules 34-1b and 34-3,

be referred to the Committee in charge of

the competition ( SSGC Tournament

Committee), whose decision is final.

This committee may consult with

SGL professional staff in arriving at its

decision. If the committee cannot come

to a decision, it may refer the dispute or

doubtful point to the Rules of Golf

Committee of the USGA, whose decision is

final.
