Specimen
Local Rule 4b (Cleaning Ball): A
ball may be lifted, cleaned and replaced, at the spot of requisite marking
under Rule 20-1, without penalty through
the course. (The purpose of this local rule is to address conditions such as
extreme wetness causing significant amounts of mud to adhere to the ball and/or
deferred fairway mowing (in the winter season) which causes excessive grass
clippings to adhere to the ball)
