LOCAL RULES POSTING SCORES and USING PROVISIONAL BALL: A. Player's name printed (first name or initial and last name). If the name is not legible, the scorecard will be discarded. B: Scorecard should have two signatures, scorer's and attested by the player. C. Correct current handicap should be filled in. Too high an handicap will disqualify the score for the tournament. An improperly filled out scorecard will result in disqualification. The important point is for the player to be sure to post all his scores to maintain a current accurate handicap. The 10 lowest scores of the most recent 20 rounds posted are used To establish a player’s monthly handicap. When a player fails to post a score there will be a low penalty score posted to his record. Of the 20 most recently posted scores the lowest of these is automatically chosen by the computer as the low penalty score to be posted. The lowest score posted remains in your record until you post 20 more rounds when it is then dropped. PLEASE remember to post all of your scores (high or low). Ask your playing partners to remind you to post every time. A golfer is required to post scores whenever he plays at least 7 holes. If 7 to 12 holes are played, then that score shall be posted as a 9-hole round . If 13 or more holes are played, it shall be posted as a 18-hole round. If a hole is not played, the score to be posted is par plus any handicap strokes the player is entitled to receive on that hole. For example, a player with a course handicap of 18 receives one handicap score on all holes, suppose that player quits after playing 13-holes the player shall record a score of par plus one for the rest of the holes. For lower handicap players the holes where the player does not get a stroke shall be recorded as par. The player however should clearly specify on the score card which holes were not played. ********** If a player’s ball lies on, next to or has feces adhering to the ball, the player may mark, lift, clean the ball and place it within 6 inches of the original spot, no closer to the hole.
