Volunteer(s) Needed

We need your help. OJ Pilcher is retiring as tournament chairman after nine years of doing an excellent job. The job entails recording, checking and posting the tournament results for the Monday/Wednesday tournaments. Please see OJ, Dick McLeod or any Board member to express your interest in performing this vital job for the club.

Coots, Coots and more Coots

And geese too. Lots of both and not much we can do about it. There is a meeting, however, on Thursday January 24th with the City Council. Vic Calvo and Dave Collins are giving the mayor a tour of the course so they understand the bird problem firsthand. We all agree that it is definitely a health problem as well as a general nuisance. Perhaps we can get some action once the tour takes place. There is talk of addling the goose eggs (covering them with mineral oil) to prevent their hatching but so far there is no cost-effective solution presented for the coots.
